Agoo, being the center of trade, education and commerce in Southern La Union hosted the establishment of a satellite office of the National Bureau of Inves
tigation (NBI). The satellite office will cater to the needs of the constituency of the second district of La Union on issuance of clearances and other related services.
Said office was opened and blessed October 5, 2012 utilizing Stall No. 66 of the new building of the Agoo Hypermarket. This is made possible through the initiative of Rep. Franny C. Eriguel, M.D. and Mayor Sandra Y. Eriguel, M.D. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed for the said purpose between the LGU-Agoo, La Union represented by Mayor Sandra Y. Eriguel, M.D. and the National Bureau of Investigation represented by Director Nonnatus Caesar Rojas.
The office is equipped with automated NBI Clearance Application/Releasing System, Biometrics Fingerprinting, Database Management and 3-Mbps Internet connection.
Present during the opening and blessing were Rep. Franny C. Eriguel, M.D., NBI Regional Director Ricardo S. Pangan, Jr. and party, Mayor Sandra Y. Eriguel, M.D., municipal officials, PNP-Agoo Chief PCI Alberto D. Garcia, Jr. and department heads.
